From May through October my boat, "Child's Play", is docked at Richmond Marina Bay, where I fish for Salmon, Halibut, Striper and Shark.
Leopard shark is my favorite! When they hit your bait, the clicker on the reel screams as line burns off, and they fight like a pit bull with fins...totally awesome!
Trolling for salmon is a lot of fun too. When they smash your bait, everybody yells "Fish On!" What a rush!
Another good time is drifting live bait for stripers and halibut. But one of the best things about summer fishing is you get to see a lot of different places in the Bay.
So whatever you like to do, it's all great fishing!
My boat, Child's Play, is a 1999 Design Concepts 26' Pacific Angler. It has plenty of room for up to six anglers. It has a full walkaround flush deck and a safety rail that runs all the way around the boat (very safe for kids). There is also a heated cabin and a marine head. The boat is fast and very comfortable.
