Current Report: Boy, last week was a tough one. The bite was definitely off from the week before. On 11-23 the four anglers on the boat landed three D-Backs going 60",68" and a 77" HOG that we released. But the bite goes down hill from there landing only a couple of shakers and a few stripers on the last couple of trips. I'm still fishing the same places like, big cut, montezuma sl., seal island, honker bay and suisun bay,so the fish gotta be getting hungry real soon, and I'll be there!! Good Luck & Bent Rods!! Mark

Current Report: Looks like I'm going to need a bigger boat or smaller fish! Too many "oversize" the last couple weeks. In the last six sturgeon trips, we have landed five BIG-UNS from 75" to 85" with only three keepers averaging 60", about 50 lbs. Last saturday I had three anglers, (don't worry Michelle B. I wont say no names!) anyway's we got the big goose egg! Everybody around was catching them, my brother Dave nailed two, my partner Mike took home a 70" and another friend of mine's girl friend caught and released a 71" (way to go Kelley!) My trip yesterday we landed one over, 76" and one shaker for two guy's. Most of my time is spent in Montezuma Sl. However other good places to check out are Big Cut, Honker Bay, Middle Grounds and the Firing Line. Best baits are lamprey eel(#1), grass & ghost shrimp, pile worms and shad. So Good Luck & Bent Rods! Mark

Current Report: By the looks of it, we should have another HOT sturgeon season. My trip on friday Nov.1 produced four D-Backs going 61"& 64", a monster 82" that had a 38" girth that was released and a 44" shaker. Hot bait was "LAMPREY EEL". Three of the four were taken on the income tide in Big Cut. ON saturday 11-2 it was a diffrent story. The weather was fintastic, no wind, lots of sun, but one thing was missing, the bite, it was "deader than a doornail". We were fishing Montezuma Sl., but it looked more like a boat race (if you know what I mean). On sunday 11-3 the four anglers on the boat landed a 47" sturgeon on eel on the top of the incoming tide also in Montezuma. Other good places to fish have been Honker Bay, Middle Ground,Little Cut and off Garnet Piont. The mitten crabs haven't been too bad in any of these places, but they can be a problem up river such as Chain Island, Broad Sl., and Light 34. So try to fish down river where thier not so much a problem. Until next week, Good Fishing & Tight Lines...MARK

Current Report: Well it took a little longer than expected but the new motor is in and I'm up and running. So on to a fishing report.I've only had a couple of trips so far but it looks like it's going to be another great season for sturgeon. Yesterday 10-17 the two guy's I had out landed a 48 lb. 58" D-Back over by Middle Ground. The wind was blowing about 20 mph.but thanks to the incoming, it was fishable. We also caught and released 10 or 12 small stripers. Seems Montezuma Slough has been kicking out some nice stripers this last week, a partner of mine landed a 18 lb. & 20 lb. on live bait fishing near the bridge. I fished near Seal Island last weekend and managed to land a few stripers to 6 lbs. and releasing a bunch of dinks. but the action was steady. I have Sturgeon trips this weekend so I'll keep you posted. Take care & Great Fishing!!! Mark

Current Report: Well it's been awhile since the last report but there hasn't been much to report, the last few weeks have been very slow, most live bait trips have been avraging less than a fish a rod, until this last weekend when the halibut and striper bite broke loose off Berkley Flats with over a fish a rod to limits. Most of the action has been on the incomming tide first thing in the morning. The bass are nice avraging 5 to 10 lbs.and the halibut are avraging 6 to 12 lbs. Shark are hard to come by these days, only catching 3 or 4 per trip. Salmon are starting to show around Duxbury Bouy and off Stinson Beach, should be a good one.Good Fishing!! Mark
