Winter Fishing

During the winter months of November through April, my boat, "Child's Play", is docked at the Pittsburg Harbor. During this time I target two types of fish: Sturgeon and Striped Bass. Both are found in the Delta river system.

I spend a lot of time bait fishing for sturgeon. These prehistoric fish really get big!

And when spring rolls around, the striper bite turns on. Trolling lures and jigs can get your adrenalin going when the rod starts pumping and the clicker starts screaming when a big striper hits!

On my boat, everything is included: rods, tackle, bait, fish cleaning and of course good humor. All you need to bring is your fishing license, lunch and YOUR humor.
